The following is information provided by the Minnesota DNR.
• Off-highway vehicles (OHVs) include all-terrain vehicles (ATVs), off-highway motorcycles (OHMs) and off-road vehicles (ORVs), such as 4x4s.
• Responsible riders are safe riders. Wear protective gear and maintain your machine. Don’t take chances that endanger yourself or others. The future of off-highway vehicles depends on your responsible behavior today.
• Anyone born after July 1, 1987 must complete the ATV CD Training Course before operating an ATV.
• All non-residents must purchase a non-resident ATV pass or non-resident ORV pass to ride on state or grant-in-aid trails.
