INTRODUCTION

Planning a backpacking trip? Canoeing trip? How about an RV tour up the north shore? DuluthOutdoors.com put together a list of campgrounds in Northeastern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin. Before deciding on a campsite, here are a few helpful tid bits:

  • For  Minnesota state park reservations:  call 1-866-85PARKS (1-866-857-2757) or online here.
  • For Wisconsin state park reservations: call (608) 266-2621 or online here.
  • For Boundary Waters camping information, visit our Boundary Waters page.
  • A $25 parking permit is required to enter both Minnesota and Wisconsin state parks. The permit is good for one year.
  • If you plan on fishing, buy a license: MinnesotaWisconsin.
  • When packing for your trip ask yourself if you will stay dry, full, warm, clean, and safe.
  • Before leaving for your trip, tell someone where you’re going and when you are expected to return. The wilderness is unpredictable and your location and timeline is important information for others to know if you get lost.
  • Rates listed below each campground are based on a one night stay, additional rate information can be found by calling the campground’s office or visiting their website.
  • Have fun and send us your photos when you return!
